The ACHPER Victorian Branch Conference is a 2 day professional learning event for teachers and industry professionals in Health, Outdoor, Sport and Physical Education. The event provides a platform for primary, secondary and VCE teachers to receive high level, innovative, relevant and reliable information from leaders within the profession.
Program
Thursday's program kick starts with a welcome address from our President followed by a keynote presentation. A number of feature presentations are included in Friday's program on particular topics pertinent to the latest news or developments within the HPE profession. The conference program is broken into six (6) individual elective sessions (3 each day) over a 90 minute time slot. Delegates have the opportunity to select from 180+ elective sessions, structured in particular streams and intended target audiences. The blend of lecture based, classroom workshops and practical sessions gives the program a point of difference.
The program is reviewed and built by numerous leading teachers ranging from Foundations - Year 12 that ACHPER Victorian Branch engages with to ensure of quality control.
Presenters
Conference presenters are directly contacted by our conference committee to present on particular topics or needs of the profession. Presenters range from leading teachers, state sporting associations, health professionals, sport professionals and tertiary lecturers.
Networking
Delegates will have an abundance of time to network with fellow colleagues during our ACHPER Festivities; the ACHPER Networking Happy Hour at the end of Thursday's program and the ACHPER Breakfast to start Friday's program. Our extensive trade display exhibition ensures that delegates will have direct access to the major players within the industry. These influential bodies will want to support your program delivery with information about their products and services or perhaps for individual purposes.
