Student Leadership Conference 2017

Australasia’s premier annual event for student leaders of girls’ schools will be held at Bond University on Queensland’s Gold Coast from January 4 to 7. Supporting the development of young female leaders is a priority for the Alliance.

Date January 4, 2017 - January 7, 2017
Time 11:00am - 2:00pm

The Student Leadership Conference provides unparalleled opportunities for girls to explore leadership styles and strategies, reflect on their own leadership aspirations and build meaningful life-long connections with other young leaders. Our conference program has been designed specifically to meet the needs of this exclusive cohort of girls. Based on research and feedback from past attendees it responds to the challenges faced by girls on their leadership journey. The girls are engaged in a range of activities designed to develop leadership capabilities, resilience and an understanding of themselves and their leadership styles.

The conference focuses on developing leadership capability and assisting young women to manage the responsibilities of leadership. Each year as the girls return to their schools, they claim that they have had a life-changing experience.

The unrivalled quality of this event and the calibre of the girls makes the experience incredibly valuable for all who attend.

Only Alliance member schools can apply to send delegates. The girls should be entering their last year of secondary school in 2017 and hold key leadership roles in their schools. The maximum number of students we can accommodate at the conference is 165. We will limit the number attending from any one school to two delegates in the first instance. If additional places become available schools may have the option to register a third delegate.

The conference is residential and it is important that delegates are available for the entire conference. Students who cannot attend the entire conference due to other commitments will not be accepted.
