The Kids' Conference was founded in 2011 by Stephen Spain from the Australian Catholic University and Jo Clyne from the History Teachers' Association of Victoria (HTAV).
The conference involves short speaker sessions in which students in primary or secondary education can present innovative digital projects relating to history or geography. Students can present solo or in small groups.
The conference is run in a warm and friendly environment to provide support and encouragement to all student presenters.
Previous presenters have been ages 7-18 years. You can see examples of their work presented on the HTAV website.

About the sessions:
Students present for no more than 10 minutes.
The day is broken up into a morning session for primary students and an afternoon session for secondary students.
They can present individually or in groups.
Each presentation must include a focus on either History or Geography in applying the chosen Digital Technology.
The conference environment is supportive and encouraging.
All presenters receive a certificate.
Registrations open 3 October
Early bird registration prior to 1 November: $25 for each session (primary morning/secondary afternoon)
Registration after 1 November: $30 for each session (primary morning/secondary afternoon)
Entire day: $40 for both sessions
Places are limited.
