Identify, Support, Educate: Gifted Education Seminar Series - Horsham

Seminars include identification and social-emotional support, schooling options, and various strategies that can be used to support the education of gifted and talented students. These strategies include curriculum differentiation, compacting, grouping and acceleration. We encourage you to join the VAGTC to explore gifted and talented education, share resources, develop professionally and support colleagues in this endeavor.

For parents: This seminar offers resources and tools for parenting your gifted child, and strategies in fostering positive relationships with your child’s school.

For teachers: This seminar offers information on identifying and supporting gifted students in the classroom. Note: The VAGTC teacher seminars are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) and meet the requirements under the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

In order to receive your attendance certificate and fulfill the requirements of your VIT data, you are required to complete a pre- and post-evaluation survey.

Your answers will help us guide you in your learning on the topic of identification, understanding and support of gifted and talented children. At the end of the seminar, we will send you a post-evaluation survey link to your email address. Please ensure you bring along your laptop.
