Applications are invited for suitably qualified and experienced primary educators and leaders for this full-time 12-month, leave-replacement role, to commence at the start of Term 3, 2017. As this is a leave-replacement role, it includes the possibility of the tenure being adjusted (extended/reduced) with the appropriate notice provided.
We are seeking applicants with the highest standards of professionalism, who work well in teams and have the ability to lead staff and student learning, providing dynamic learning experiences and ensuring a rich and engaging learning culture.
The Head of Teaching and Learning/PYP Coordinator reports directly to the Head of Campus and is a significant member of the Campus Leadership Team. The role demands the highest level of communication and interpersonal skills and requires the applicant to work in close partnership with our passionate and committed teaching staff. The position is responsible for leading the ongoing development, evaluation and enhancement of our differentiated and rigorous teaching and learning practices and programmes. Therefore, the role requires expert knowledge and experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Victorian Curriculum, a deep appreciation of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Victorian Early Years Framework and an awareness and keen interest in Positive Education. The successful applicant should be able to fulfil the ‘Lead’ level in all of the AITSL Standards.
