Expressions of Interest are invited to be part of the Aspiring Special Education Leaders for Queensland program!
The Aspiring Special Education Leaders for Queensland program will enhance your leadership capability through a focused approach to leadership aligned to the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (ATSL) framework.
It will enable experienced Special Education Leaders to work with other aspiring leaders in programs which provide great support in capability development.
The program will provide specific workshops to develop leadership capability of Aspiring Special Education Leaders and connect them with coaches to continue their leadership development.
The recruitment of applicants to the Aspiring Special Education Leaders for Queensland program is based on a state-wide selection process. Written applications should provide teh information requested below and demonstrate a commitment to education delivery in the special education sector.
To apply please provide:
- a resume (maximum two pages),
- a brief statement (max. 2 pages) telling us why you are interested in being part of this program. This should not be a restatement of your resume and does not require you to respond to each of the attribute areas. This is an opportunity for you to tell us about yourself, what you bring to the program and how you will demonstrate success through the program.
- a Aspiring Special Education Leaders for Queensland Referee Report signed by your supervisor (attached in information package). The signed referee report will need to be scanned so that it can be submitted electronically.
The program is open to current permanently appointed HODs, HOCs and HOSES employed with the Department of Education and Training (DET). Applications from employees currently acting in the above roles will be considered with referee endorsement from their supervisor.
