New Zealand Schools Camp Guide
The experience of a school camp is something most people look back on with fond memories. A camp is designed to encourage students to step outside of their comfort zones, learn more about themselves and form bonds with classmates they wouldn’t necessarily spend much time with in a school setting.
While most students thrive in an outdoor environment, school camps can be challenging for some students as well. After all, it can be the first time some students have spent a night or two away from the comfort of their home. For teachers, organising a school camp takes a lot of hard work – not only is there a mountain of paperwork to complete beforehand, but ensuring the entire experience is enjoyed by all can be a real challenge.
While there are many camp providers out there who can help schools to get started, each of them tends to offer something different – so it’s important to know what you would like to get out of the experience before you get started.
