Iconic Performances, which was founded by the Worlds Playground, was created with the amalgamation of Vince Wren's "The Colonial Show" in 2009. The Colonial Show was a small sole-trading business of Vince Wren. The Colonial Show began in 2003 and has been seen by over 15,000 people per year ranging from 7 to 40 years old. With the introduction of the company which manages all the bookings for the educational show “The Colonial Show” it performs in front of over 54,000 people across Australia.
Seeing the potential that the shows had, Steve Baltzois, an experienced actor, film producer, screen writer, child entertainer and qualified teacher, joined forces with Vince Wren, offering the shows to a larger area of NSW. In just 3 months the company performed more shows than it's predecessor and was able to target an area of more than 500 kilometres. This meant, more students, more schools and more teachers were able to utilise this amazing educational resource to promote, stimulate and encourage healthy learning of Australia's history.
With many years of experience in drama, education, film and the entertainment industries, Iconic Performances surpasses most of its competitors in areas of professionalism, age appropriateness, valid and reliable educational content and entertainment. The demand of the shows have grown so rapidly, that in just 3 years additional performers and troupes were started to cater for the number of shows that were being performed. Iconic Performances began offering a selection of shows in Queensland and Victoria as the word about our shows began spreading among the community and across the states of Australia. With more and more people booking the shows, more and more customers started asking for more performances and from these requests, Iconic Performances created a bigger selection of performances, events and shows for schools, communities, corporate businesses and film. At the moment Iconic Performances offers over 8 educational school performances, 2 science based school performances, theatre restaurants events, and special events. Plans are also currently in development for 2 Movie Films, a Theatre Event, and Recording Studio.
