The vision for GFEST is an exciting and unique regional festival featuring cutting edge contemporary arts performances of a national standard, within an inclusive community event that showcases quality local produce and products, celebrates cultural diversity and promotes experienced and emerging local artists and performers.
The aim is to create an event which engages the local community in interactive arts events whilst attracting visitors from around WA and interstate. The Midwest is a growing, diverse, dynamic community bursting with artistic and cultural potential. We want to promote the Midwest as a culturally rich and diverse tourist destination year round.
We are continuing to develop the festival by involving more local businesses and artists, and creating new opportunities for local audiences to engage in interactive, immersive arts experiences.
