    The successful applicant will:

    • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
    • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

    We are seeking a suitably qualified Head of Learning and Teaching (Tier 4) to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This significant curriculum leadership role sits within a team that includes the Assistant Principal Learning and Development and the Assistant Principal Curriculum Administration in providing leadership and support to our Head of Department role holders. The successful applicant will demonstrate high level interpersonal and leadership skills in their daily interactions with staff, students and the broader College community.

    St Michael’s College is a co-educational Catholic secondary College administered by Brisbane Catholic Education with an approximate enrolment of 900 students. We are recognised on the Gold Coast for our great successes in academic, cultural, sporting and vocational fields over the past 30 years. Our curriculum is broad, allowing for each student’s development across Academic, Spiritual, Vocational, Cultural and Sporting arenas.     Employment Tenure:   Full Time + Continuing

    Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):  Teaching position is continuing - Middle Leadership position is subject to review in 2020 as per enterprise agreement.

    Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


    This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
