SYDNEY, June 19 - Education Minister Adrian Piccoli will announce that next week's state budget will contain $50 million over the next four years for new classrooms and facilities in non-government schools, Fairfax Media reports.

The money represents a doubling of the current capital funding for non-government schools, which was slashed under budget cuts imposed by the O'Farrell Government in 2012.

"Demand for school places is increasing across NSW and this funding recognises the significant role non-government schools will play in meeting that challenge," Piccoli said.
