Kindergarten language lessons provide a home for refugee preschoolers

Ask any teacher at Havilah Road Preschool in Bendigo, and they’ll tell you you’re never too young to learn a second language.

Bendigo is home to roughly 1000 Karen refugees and Havilah Road Preschool is providing a sense of belonging for the families.

Responding to the area’s burgeoning Karen refugee community, the Kindergarten has started delivering a Karen language program.
