Urban Scrawl Tours

Urban Scrawl Art Tours offer unique Melbourne arts experiences for primary and secondary students, exploring street art and graffiti, sculpture, galleries and architecture.

Melbourne's city streets and laneways are filled with hidden secrets just waiting to be uncovered. Urban Scrawl Art Tours encourage students to explore their city, thinking about how the arts help shape Melbourne, dictate and change the way we use public space, tell the city's history, and reflect the attitudes and character of the people who inhabit it.

Urban Scrawl offer a variety of tours suitable for students in Years 3-12. All tours encourage students to engage with art beyond the four walls of a gallery space, and discover the many ways people express themselves in the urban environment.

Laneway Art Tours look at the huge impact street art has had on this city, it's growing popularity, and the many techniques involved in putting it together. Architecture tours unlock the secrets of Melbourne's landmarks and we read the streets like a giant history book.

Also offered is the Year 12 Studio Art Gallery Tour, which addresses the criteria laid out in Unit 4, Area of Study 3 Art Industry Contexts.
