The rise and rise of blogging in learning places: Prep onwards

This workshop offers participants some advice on setting up blogs for school-based learning.

Date August 23, 2018 - August 23, 2018
Time 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Beryl Exley hones in on the references to blogging in curricula documents as well as overviews some virtual learning places, including some free and low cost resources. Attention is given to setting up the community of learners, working in different curriculum areas, and the affordances and challenges gleaned from classroom based research. This session is appropriate for teachers in Prep onwards. Participants are asked to bring an iPad (if possible) so they can trial some of the resources during the workshop. It would be useful but not essential to have the free apps Puppet Pals 2 and Comic Caption Creator Lite.
