About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide confidential corporate and administrative support, information and advice to the Manager and other staff across the Division in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, on administrative, financial operational and technical issues and to support strategic outcomes.
  • Develop and implement initiatives, policies, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration of the work of the Division
  • Maintain personal subject knowledge, technical proficiency and skills appropriate to the role including compliance with appropriate legislation, policies, procedures and protocols
  • Liaise with senior management, representatives of business units within the department and other government agencies to ensure the provision of high-quality corporate, administrative, financial and operational support functions.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Good communication (written and oral) and facilitating skills.
  • Ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
  • Advanced computer skill including high proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Service focussed, as well as an ability to work autonomously.
  • High standard of professional presentation.
  • Proficient office skills.
  • Good team player and ability to follow direction.
