ABOUT THE ROLE
The College is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the full time, ongoing position of Facilities Manager - Maintenance Services.
The Facilities Manager - Maintenance Services is responsible for all works undertaken by the Maintenance Services Department and is directly responsible to the Head of Property Services. This includes compliance to Work Health and Safety legislation, contract management, vendor management, project management of major maintenance works, internal/external maintenance work flow management and materials management.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Proven experience in an equivalent/similar role delivering maintenance services at an organisational level
- Extensive understanding of facilities management best practices
- A trade or relevant tertiary qualification
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of compliance to the Work Health Safety Act
- Broad understanding of major building trades and maintenance of equipment
- Knowledge of building work practices
- Experience in administrative duties including resource allocation, materials ordering and purchasing
- Experience with budgets and financial management
- Management experience of small capital projects
- Competent user of technology including the Microsoft office suite and experience with Facilities Management information systems
- The ability to operate and foster a team environment
- An understanding of and commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
- A current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people
