About the Role

As the Head of Department - Junior Secondary you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Lead the College department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
  • Be futures oriented and strategic.

About You

As the Head of Department - Junior Secondary, you will be at the forefront of leading curriculum development and teaching strategies within the junior secondary phase of learning. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of student engagement. Collaborating closely with the Leadership Team, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement within our vibrant learning community.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong leadership, change management, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Commitment to fostering student outcomes and engagement.
