Rockhampton State High School was founded in 1919 and moved to its present position 1 Campbell Street in 1960. At our school, we assist students to grow and develop by offering a strong culture of support and by providing a wide range of opportunities.

About the Role
The Head of Department for Teaching, Learning and Literacy will be responsible for:
- Reading Strategy - whole school implementation
- Writing Strategy - whole school implementation
- Literacy subjects - curriculum implementation and behaviour management
- Whole school staff PD in Reading, Writing and Literacy
- Curriculum support - literacy elements and student production of independent work
- NAPLAN analysis - deficit areas and targeted responses
- Formative skills testing and analysis
- Pre and post test interventions and gains
- Tracking progress
- Celebrating Success - Academic and NAPLAN gains
- AI/Serego
