Fairvale High School is located in Fairfield West and has an enrolment of 1460 students (co- educational and comprehensive), including 89% students from a non-English speaking background and 21 international students. There are 114 teachers, 30 administrative staff and three Deputy Principals. The school receives equity funding to support students from low socio-economic backgrounds. This is a high performing and high demand school with a strong learning culture and high expectations of students. The Special Education faculty operates within in a highly inclusive model of support with disabilities and has four Special Education classes with the opportunity for students to engage in mainstream classes and school activities. Excellent student welfare programs operate with highly successful student leadership programs. The school has strong links with local communities and partner primary schools. Commencing in 2018, the school will benefit from a capital works program, comprising 30 new classrooms, administration and teacher study areas and a new hall.
