Kokoda Track Memorial Walk

The 1000 Steps, renamed the Kokoda Track Memorial Walk due to its similarity to the Golden Staircase on the original Kokoda Track, is a perfect location to explore the significance of the battles at Kokoda and the bravery that helped foster the Anzac legend. The adjoining Kokoda Terrace and Memorial honour all the soldiers who fought and those who lost their lives in this bloody campaign.
