The annual two-day Conference will provide participants with professional learning that is up-to-date, theoretical, practical and relevant to supporting students within the independent school sector. The Conference theme - Working at the Pointy End will cover a range of highly relevant topics aimed to stimulate thinking and professional dialogue. Guest speakers will discuss motivation and engagement of students, as well as working with complex family and parenting issues, Dialectal Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy within the school setting. Workshops will cover difficult issues such as: trauma, behaviour disorders, personality disorders and sexualised behaviours. As always, there will be many opportunities for professional dialogue and networking with like-minded colleagues.
