This is a full-time permanent position commencing from 4 January 2021. The position is based on working 48 weeks of the year with four weeks annual leave. The successful candidate must be able to speak Hebrew and have knowledge of Judaism and Jewish practice. Applicants must have a Diploma or Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education.

The Primary objectives of the Early Learning Mechanech/et are:

  • To create an environment for children that fosters and develops a love for and an awareness of children’s rich Jewish heritage and the Hebrew language.
  • Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all children and families are encouraged to participate in and contribute to experiences that enhance children’s learning and development.
  • To support children’s interests, build their self-esteem and confidence as well as supporting the development of skills and knowledge of their Jewish heritage and the Hebrew language.
  • To provide a secure environment in which the individual child is respected and valued.
