About the Role:

  • End to end maintenance of all school financials, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation of bank accounts, end of month and end of year.
  • Strategic management of the school financial resources.
  • Reconciliation of accounts and corporate credit cards.
  • Manage the billing and collection of school fees.
  • Cashier and banking duties.
  • Data entry.
  • Annual budget & report preparation.
  • Liaise and issue contracts to various providers.
  • Coordination of property and building maintenance activities.
  • General asset management.
  • Staffing recruitment administration.
  • Procurement.
  • General administration functions

The successful candidate will hold/have: 
  • A commitment to the safeguarding of children and promote a culture where student protection is the responsibility of everyone.
  • A commitment to and understanding of the purpose and mission of the Catholic Church and Catholic schools.
  • A commitment to uphold the expected standards of behaviour set out in BCE’s Code of Conduct, including our organisational values and all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Initiative and attention to detail and be highly organised.
  • Effective communicator dealing with various stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with BCE finance system, Microsoft Dynamics D365 is desirable.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications at Associate Diploma/Diploma level or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • First Aide Certificate is desirable but not essential
  • Previous or current experience in BCE school would be highly regarded.
  • Environment administration management, accounting or similar is desirable.

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
