Frank Partridge VC Public School is situated within Gumbaynggirr homelands in Nambucca Heads, New South Wales. Enrolments fluctuate between 200 and 230 students each year, with 50% Aboriginal students.

The school currently has a Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) of 165 and consists of 11 mainstream classes (with an average of 22 students) and 3 learning support classes. The experienced staff work collaboratively to meet the students’ diverse learning and wellbeing needs both within the classroom and through extra-curricular activities. The school utilises the school community's strengths, skills and expertise to complement internal educational programs.

Authentic Gumbaynggirr cultural activities are a strong presence throughout the school and Eight Ways of Learning is embedded in all key learning areas. The school works in close partnership with the Nambucca Valley AECG and proudly displays local artwork. A purpose-built yarning circle and bushtucker garden are utilised by all staff, students and the wider community to support cultural initiatives.

Frank Partridge VC Public School has an embedded Early Action for Success program and staff work closely with the Instructional Leader to improve students' literacy and numeracy outcomes. The Strategic Improvement Plan will focus on improving attendance, literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students

Parent involvement in the school is highly valued and welcomed. The school has an energetic and committed Parents and Citizens Association (P&C).
