Hunters Hill High School is a comprehensive, coeducational high school located on the banks of the Lane Cove River in a natural bushland setting. The school is presently in a growth phase and will have 750 students enrolled in 2020 including 40 International students in Years 10 to 12. The school had a completely new senior executive team in 2018, has a young executive team and 70% of the staff in their first three years of teaching.
Over the next three years, the school has a strong focus on whole school teaching and learning programs that specifically and effectively improve student literacy. numeracy and critical thinking skills. The aim is high growth between Years 7 and 9 in order to build strong foundations for Years 10 to 12. Concurrently there will be a focus on building the capacity of teachers to deliver future focussed pedagogy particularly around higher order thinking experiences in order to support the already introduce ALARM process.
Hunters Hill High School is strongly supported by an active Parents and Citizens group. the school has a proud history of success and is excited to further build on these successes under a new leadership team.
