A proud member of the St Clair Erskine Park Schools (STEPS) learning community, James Erskine Public School is a vibrant school where the development of strong partnerships with parents/carers and the broader community are actively encouraged and valued. The school has an enrolment of 587 students, 6% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 32% from a language background other than English. A balanced, comprehensive curriculum catering for differences in achievement and ability is provided to students. Effective literacy and numeracy programs are complemented by co-curricular programs, including, the Arts, “Kindness on Purpose”, kitchen garden initiative, music, drumming and violin programs, as well as sport. James Erskine Public School has a highly committed and professional staff, ranging from early career through to highly experienced.  The school’s executive team plays an integral role to ensure high quality programs are delivered to students, teachers and the broader community.  Parents and the community value education and opportunities for student leadership.
