Merewether High School is an academically selective high school catering for 1080 students, from a wide geographical area within the Hunter area. The school offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum focusing on high expectations of student academic achievement.  The school is committed to high order teaching and learning programs and supportive wellbeing practices to meet the needs of gifted and talented students.  The parent community is vitally interested and involved in the education of their children.
